Postcards from Oregon

Postcards from Oregon
A trip to Portland is incomplete without a trip to Powell’s. For people not aware of it, Powell’s books claims to be the largest independent used bookstore in the world.
Happy Sunday!!
My last pick for Arizona. The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver. I read Demon Copperhead by the same author and loved it. So, I have high hopes for this one
This morning, after spending hours on Instagram with only four hours of sleep, I deleted all social media apps from my phone. I thought about removing my accounts completely, but I worried I might regret it later. So, I just took the apps off my phone to make them harder to access.
The only thing I’m unsure about is the channels page I made for ‘Books Beyond Borders‘. I use it to share little things I learn about the city or country I’m reading about, in a casual way. Since I don’t have many followers, I’m wondering if I should move it here or keep running that channel.
The basic setup is finally done, and I won’t be spending more time on it for now since my goal was to keep it simple. I love long-form posts, but sometimes I just want to share something short, something less structured than a blog entry, and I often find myself at a loss with such content.
I know there are plenty of platforms for this kind of content, but whenever I post there, I end up battling algorithms and feeling disappointed due to low engagement. Not that I expect much engagement here, but at least I won’t be disappointed by my own expectations. It’s like sending thoughts into the void, hoping they might reach someone. If this one finds you, say “Hi” in comments
After spending almost hours trying to find some plugin or service, it seems like chat-gpt is coming to the rescue
